How Much Money Does A Cruise Ship Captain Make?

Answer:

The average pay for a cruise ship captain is $5,000 to $11,000 per month, depending on experience. While cruise ship jobs are hard to get on a usual basis, ship captains can be in high demand if they have the right experience and skills.

The Day And The Life Of the Captain!

A cruise ship captain wears many hats. Not only is he responsible for the ship’s speed and position, he must also keep a daily log of the ship’s location, cargo and passengers. A cruise ship captain is also a people person. He has the responsibility of holding meetings, attending dinners with guests and having his picture taken with guests. A captain is the most important member of the cruise staff and the person whom everyone looks to when there is a problem. He is sailing constantly and gets breaks only when the ship is in port. Even then he has the responsibility of keeping the ship docked properly and safe to board. An average day starts with preparing the ship to sail. The captain must know the navigational information and which ports the ship will docking at. He will attend the ceremonies where passengers get to meet the captain and have dinner, all the while making sure the ship is on course and being aware of any no extreme conditions. The cruise ship’s captain is also responsible for making sure the passengers are safe at all times. This means that he will conduct safety drills soon after the passengers board the boat. He also must be aware of any protocol where extraordinary conditions are underway such as fire, terrorist threat, weather and ship damage.

How Much Do Teachers Make?

Answer:

The average salary for a teacher is $48,000 a year, but can greatly vary by what part od the country and area you are in. Low end is $20,000 and high end is $70,000. The amount they make is also based of what is taught as well at to who (grade level) it is taught to.

What Do Teachers Do?

  • Prepare lectures
  • Prepare activities
  • Grade exams and papers
  • Hold parent-teacher conferences
  • Attend school meetings
  • Lead extracurricular activities
  • Provide advice on educational and personal matters (to both students and their parents)
  • Mentor students
  • Teach skills (academic and life skills such as conflict resolution)

How Do I Get Certified To Teach?

Certification is usually granted by the state board of education or a certification advisory committee. You may seek certification to teach

  • early childhood (nursery school through grade 3)
  • elementary (grades 1 through 6 or 8 )
  • special subjects
  • special education (kindergarten through grade 12)

Each state has different requirements for certification, so the best way to proceed is to contact the education department or licensing office in your state. You can get more information by reading The Manual on Certification and Preparation of Educational Personnel in the United States published by the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification.

There are several avenues toward certification:

  • College: Four- or five-year college degree programs in elementary education or secondary education which lead to certification upon graduation.
  • Post-collegiate programs for people who hold a Bachelor’s degree and wish to enter the teaching field, generally for one year to obtain certification.
  • Graduate school: Getting a masters degree in education isn’t absolutely necessary to becoming a teacher, but some schools require that you either have one or are on your way to getting a master’s in education or some specialty subject within a certain number of years after being hired. A master’s degree is also the ticket to a career in school administration. Many teachers choose to work toward a master’s after they’ve already been teaching for a few years.
  • Emergency credentials: States can issue emergency credentials to college graduates who want to teach but who have not yet met the state’s minimum requirements for regular credentials. These are given under the pretense that the teacher will eventually take all of the required courses for valid certification (so the teacher must take classes outside of work while they are teaching). Or some states offer intensive programs over a period of months.

How Much Does The Average NBA Player Make?

Answer:

The men of the NBA are among the highest paid employees on the planet, making an average of almost $4 million each for the 2004-05 season, according to the Players Union. ….WOW can I get some of that!

Stupid Question But I have To Ask It Here……… What Do NBA Players Do, What Is There Job Requirements?

NBA basketball players have the job of playing basketball for men’s pro teams and earning a living at the game. It takes very hard work/practice and determination to be the best. Pro Basketball players play on a team of about 12 and with a group of five on the court. They work together to win the game and later on the NBA championships.

Players obviously work out and attend training camps, but also play in summer league games and play for their international teams. For example, dirk nowitzki plays for Germany during the summer and Manu Ginobili plays for Argentina. However, when superstars are not working out(only players needing development play summer league games), stars rest their bodies and try to avoid injury. Hope this clears things up.

I guess it just depends on your statis, and how good you think you are, if you are locked into a “contract” you are golden!

Take for instance the great player Dennis Rodman, awsome when it came to offense but arrogant off court, and eventually on! This dude is bad but, he did mess it up by thinking he was the shitz, all of the time!

It left a bad taste in peoples mouth and eventually left him loosing endorsement deals and many hundreds of thousands and way more if he would be in the game today!

Anyway Rodman i love you man!

I think you had the potential to be one of the greatest!
